Senior Technical Officer required for this Infrastructure Management Department on Brisbane’s Northside.

In this role you will be responsible for the following:

* Maintain and improve internal and external processes for Project Planning Unit.
* Act as point of contact for Project Planning matters by providing sound advice, innovation and problem solving for Managers, Coordinators and Team Leaders.
* Assist to review processes within the unit with an emphasis on process improvement and relationship development.
* Ensure compliance with all legislation, approved standards, policies and procedures relating to Project Planning Unit’s practices and processes.

To be considered for this role you will possess:

* Extensive experience in the design or supervision of a broad range of civil and associated infrastructure in a local government environment.
* Relevant experience in Civil Engineering design and / or construction.
* Ability to prepare concept plans and estimates for small to medium projects
* Proficiency in the use of software including Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
* Advanced communication skills both written and verbal including the ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with diverse groups
