Our client is a leading specialist railway engineering and project management company with a number of large scale rail construction projects and exciting plans for further expansion.
The client is seeking a suitably qualified Railway Signalling or Communications Engineer to join their team in Perth to work on one of the largest resource developments in Australia. More specifically you will help develop a large expansion of a rail network with a mix of Greenfields and Brownfields work. Initial expansion project to run until 2010.
The successful applicant will have:
* A good knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements of signal engineering works and the ability to incorporate these within company procedures and policies
* Design and documentation skills for all aspects of rail signal engineering projects. Facility to prepare detailed specifications, procedures and to document standards and safe working practices.
* Ability to complete work on time and on budget within the parameters of the project scope of works
Applicants will possess:
* Tertiary qualifications in an engineering discipline complemented by some years of experience of railway signalling design and implementation within large infrastructure projects.
* Full membership of the IRSE; however consideration will be given to those applicants with experience and qualifications sufficient to qualify for membership.
Or:
* Consideration will also be given to trade qualified or other sub-professionals with significant exposure to, or who have held a position of senior responsibility within, the profession of railway signalling in the private or public sector.
The role is based in Perth and our client will negotiate remuneration and benefits at interview stage.
