IMMEDIATE NEED with a leading consulting engineering firm located in San Jose, CA. Client is searching for a SENIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER to join their team on a direct hire basis.

Responsibilities:

-> HVAC system design and component selections
-> Completing project tasks with established design budgets
-> Coordination of HVAC equipment, ductwork and piping layouts with architectural/structural designs and with in-house electrical and plumbing engineers to prevent conflicts during construction
-> Coordination with equipment vendors and suppliers for selected equipment
-> Equipment Selection using on-line vendor supplied software and/or catalog information
-> Conducting site visits to verify and document existing conditions

Requirements:

-> Candidate must have a BSME with 10 years experience working with a consulting engineering firm
-> PE preferred
-> AutoCAD proficiency required, AutoCAD MEP BIM software experience preferred
-> Recent employment with an HVAC consulting engineering firm in the construction industry, or with a design build mechanical contractor
-> Must be proficient at coordinating HVAC equipment, ductwork and piping layouts with architectural/structural designs to prevent conflicts during construction
