The Tanami Operations, as the most remote mine site in Australia located 550 kms north-west of Alice Springs, is a valuable asset within Newmont Asia Pacific's operations. The site is a combination of Newmont employees and contractor employees totalling approximately 700 people. HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER TANAMI N.T. 9/5 ROSTER FIFO FROM PERTH, ALICE SPRINGS or DARWIN (Relocation Assistance will be Provided)) Reporting to the Group Executive HR and the General Manager Operations, this challenging site based management role will allow you to influence the entire operation whilst ensuring that effective human resource, learning and development and administrative support services are provided in accordance with business requirements. Central to your role is the attraction, development and retention of a quality workforce, the shaping of the site organisation culture and the provision of value-added HR services specific to the company's strategic goals and objectives. You will also provide professional HR advice and coaching whilst being a key member of the management team requiring you to provide a high level of input to ensure strategic team decisions. The role is accountable for HR and site services with a combined departmental people accountability for approximately 50 people. Tertiary qualified in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or Social Sciences, you have a minimum of 10 years' experience in general HR to manager level including remote mine site experience. On a 9 days on and 5 days off roster you will find approximately 80% of time in this role will be spent on site with the balance off-site spent on regional HR activities, recruitment and contract management activities in Perth, Darwin and Alice Springs.
