With multiple mines already in operation our client is looking to expand their portfolio in Australia and together we are looking for a Senior Mining Engineer to join their Brisbane based team to assist with this growth.

This position offers the successful applicant a rewarding career coupled with a great lifestyle. This is a Brisbane based position with travel to site as required.

In this role as Senior Mining Engineer you will be forming a key part of the team and your duties will include but will not be limited to:
Developing LOM plans and designs for projects in feasibility stageEvaluating different mining methods & plansConducting equipment selection to ensure optimum safety & efficiencyEngaging consultants & contractors as required
This is an exciting role that will influence the direction of the company in the future and requires a consummate professional that can display:
Strong technical & analytical skillsA sound understanding of operational issuesProficiency in long-term mine planning & detailed designThe successful applicant will hold tertiary qualifications in Mine Engineering coupled with extensive experience in underground coal mining. It is ideal for the candidate to have experience in both Bord & Pillar and Longwall operations, however it is not essential.
