Details:Our client has a vision to be a highly respected coal mining company committed to delivering sustainable growth, premium products and high quality service in the long term whilst minimizing any environmental impact. They have over twenty years of coal mining experience in Indonesia. Through various companies they have exclusive rights to mine a total concession area of over 80,000 Ha. Our client produces coal ranging from semi-soft coking coal to environmentally friendly low sulphur, sub-bituminous coal.
The operations extract coal and then transfer it via trucks to locations closer to a river or the open sea where barge loading facilities load the coal onto barges for transfer to the Coal Terminal or other vessel loading options. In the barge loading facilities, coal is crushed and stockpiled. It is then loaded onto barges via conveyors. Barging facilities are generally located near mining concessions. The majority of coal at the client’s projects is mined clean. Less than five percent of the coal from the most recent projects is mined dirty and must be processed in a wash plant before being transported to the crushing, stockpiling and barge loading facilities.
Our client requires a senior mining engineer based on site in Indonesia.
The successful applicant will have,
A degree qualification in mining engineering.
An excellent working knowledge of SURPAC.
Proven ability in mine design and planning for complex open pit coal mines.
A minimum of 5 years mine planning experience in open pit coal mining operations.
Previous experience working in Indonesia will be well regarded.
A generous remuneration package, commensurate with the successful candidate’s skills and experience, is on offer on a permanent single status basis. The package will cover all living expenses.
