Geotechnical Engineers - Intermediate and Senior Vancouver, BC, Canada
Salary Range: Based on Experience up to $120,000 per annum
Description: Our client is seeking Intermediate and Senior Geotechnical Engineers for both the Municipal and Mining divisions. The successful candidate will be involved in project engineering and management including site investigations.
Responsibilities:
• Project management and scheduling
• Site Investigation: rock and soil logging and investigation, natural hazard assessments, mine design including slope stability evaluations and pit wall design
• Implement project risk control and loss management
• Write/Review proposals and technical reports for complex projects
• Overseeing investigation programs initiated by intermediate engineers
• Supervise, guide and review work of intermediate engineers
• Communicate with clients throughout project duration
Requirements: • Undergraduate Degree in Civil/Geological Engineering (Professional designation preferred)
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in Geotechnical Engineering
• Masters and/or Doctoral Degrees in Geotechnical Engineering with emphasis on rock mechanics would be a strong asset
• Knowledgeable with construction contracts and specifications
• Awareness and implementation of project risk control and loss management
• Strong analytical skills
