Job descriptionPurpose
Oil Company in Qatar is currently developing and expanding the facilities in the Al Shaheen Field offshore Qatar. Due to this expansion a maintenance engineer is required to support the SCADA, ESD and F&G Instrumentation and Control Systems area, organized under the Production Operations Maintenance department onshore.
Principal Accountabilities
The candidate will be responsible for the following areas and tasks.
Maintenance of SCADA, ESD and F&G instrumentation and control systems. Siemens PLC systems experience preferred.
Organizing spare parts within the area of responsibility.
Maximizing reliability of the equipment within area of responsibility.
Accountable for maintenance cost within area of responsibility.
Implementation of planned, preventive maintenance procedures and guidelines.
Support to the onshore and offshore organization.
Liaise with contractors and vendors and maintain cost effective and high quality service.
Remain updated on technical development within the area of responsibility.

The candidate will be based in Doha, Qatar.

The Instrumentation and Control maintenance engineer reports to the Head of Electrical Maintenance.

In this position, the incumbent will have an opportunity to acquire skills and knowledge in the following areas:
•Management of contractors from different countries and with miscellaneous cultural backgrounds.
•Participate in further development of computerized maintenance systems for onshore and offshore use.
•Further developments of technical skills within area of responsibility.
RequirementsMinimum Requirement:
The candidate shall be a qualified electrical engineer or any engineering degree.
The candidate shall have minimum 5 years working experience with maintenance of SCADA, ESD and F&G instrumentation and control systems within the upstream oil and gas industry.
Applicants with experience on Siemens PLC Systems will be preferred.
The candidate must be a team player, initiative, self-motivating, enterprising, systematic, goal oriented and energetic. Furthermore the candidate must have strong collaboration as well as planning skills.
