Qualifications:
10 years experience in Alberta Oil and Gas.
Responsibilities:
Specifying and designing instrumentation and control requirements for oil and gas processing facilities.
Requirements:
Specification of field instruments including electronic and pneumatic transmitters, process switches, meter runs, analysers, control valves and ESD valves. This skill should include the proper creation of instrument data sheets and the procurement of the instruments.
• Creation of I&C engineering documents including review and completion of P&IDs, control narratives, instrument and control specifications and installation details.
• Knowledge and experience applying codes and standards such as CSA, API, ANSI and ISA.
• Experience in the design of various control systems including DCS, PLC, SIS, HMI and SCADA/RTU. Experience with configuration of these systems. Knowledge of various electrical components including MCCs, PLC panels, VFDs, electrical switchgear and motors. Understanding of the methods required to make all these systems function together in an operating plant.
• Field commissioning and startup experience.
• Proficient in the use of Smartplant Instrumentation (Intools) in an engineering design.
