Senior Mechanical Engineer - Core Team Leader/PHD/Medical Device 120-128 K/yr

Immediate opening for a qualified ME with higher degrees for a division Core Team Leader position with a leading medical device manufacturer at its Northern NJ location

Responsibilities:

-> Pharmaceutical Division team leader with overall responsibility for successful mechanical product development over complete product life cycle (inception and decision agreements through high volume manufacturing, through post launch and commercialization)
-> Provide skillful communication and negotiation of project development needs and priorities
-> Identify and foresee problems and how they impact manufacturing, development and product success
-> Lead teams from 3 to 4 and up to 10 to 15 members, including cross-functional teams and coordination
-> Reports to Division Director

Requirements:

-> BSME, and at least a Masters in ME, but PhD in ME preferred. Ideal candidate will have BSME, MBA and PhD in ME
-> PhD preferred
-> 8 to 15 years medical device product development and high volume manufacturing experience
-> Including at least 3 to 4 years successful team leader project management experience
-> Mechanical engineering background in injection devices related to vaccines and pre-filled drug delivery devices a plus
-> Experience with biological medical fluids and polymers a plus
-> Project Management certifications and training a plus
-> Must be a skilled and determined communicator and negotiator
-> Must have strong leadership skills and be very relationship and collaborative oriented
-> Successful track record in mechanical product development of high volume medical devices
-> International business experience a plus
-> French language skills a plus

• List your accredited BSME and higher educational degrees in business and in mechanical engineering.

• Describe your medical device product development and high volume manufacturing background (include companies, roles, type of projects and dates).

• Describe your project management training and experience in successfully bringing medical devices to market. Include experience as a core team leader including team types and member sizes. List successful mechanical product launches.

• What is your mechanical background and experience with injection devices, pre-filled drug delivery devices, fluids and polymers.

• Describe your leadership, communications and negotiation skills.
