Industry leading cement manufacturing company located North of Los Angeles, CA is searching for an Electrical/Automation Manager to join their team on a direct hire basis.

Responsibilities:

-> Manage the activities of the electrical and automation departments to ensure that the related systems will allow a reliable operation of the plant
-> Maintain a safe working arena for all personnel and see that safety standards are met in accordance with company policy and State and Federal regulations
-> Understand the knowledge, skills, and abilities of each employee in order to select, train, and provide guidance and inspiration through leadership and teamwork to ensure empowered work teams
-> Ensure electrical equipment and Automation systems are in condition to meet production requirements while conforming to regulations, at minimum operating costs

Requirements:

-> Post-secondary education in a related discipline, preferably Engineering
-> Requires 5 years of experience in heavy maintenance
-> Requires 2 years of supervision experience
-> Ability to formulate decisions, make and support recommendations, prioritize work, communicate with multiple parties and handle multiple tasks
-> Must be able to read and interpret electrical drawings and programming languages
-> Prior experience in developing preventive maintenance programs and practices
