Our Client is a member of an international energy group which has extensive global operations in coal, oil, lubricants, LPG, and petrochemical operations.
In Australia, they have coal mining operations in NSW and QLD.

It is our privilege to be now inviting applications for the senior position of Coal Marketing Manager, reporting to the General Manager-Marketing in the Brisbane head office.

In this position you will interact extensively with mine-site staff, other coal industry parties, infrastructure providers (rail and port), shipping agents, overseas customers and Idemitsu's agents in various countries. There will not be any dull moments in this role!

You will support your General Manager in all aspects of marketing our client's coal, including such aspects as:

- Maintaining existing customers and sales contracts, ensuring superb customer service
- Assisting in the development of new coal markets
- Overseeing logistics to culminate in successfully transporting all of the company's coals to customers' vessels, on time
- Managing the preparation and maintenance of all marketing documentation and marketing reports
- Collecting sales proceeds from customers on time
- Supervising the Marketing Officer

The successful candidate will possess an appropriate degree and will have a minimum of 5 years experience in marketing/commercial, logistics, or mining - preferably in a coal industry environment. It will also be desirable to have skills and experience in general international trading (including Incoterms and letters of credit), as well as exposure to screen-based trading.
