This International and well branded Mining organisation with its head office in Brisbane has operations all over the east coast of Australia has a vacancy for a Senior Mine Geologist for a residential based role at the top end of the Bowen Basin near a major population centre. The organisation is one of the top most diversified Metals & Mining organisations in the world who continue to grow and create value over the long term, forming mutually beneficial partnerships with stakeholders. Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent, as a senior mine geologist you will be responsible for the following:

Provide effective geological services and expertise to the operationProvide leadership and mentoring for a small geology teamAssist in mine design and implement the development and improvement of all health and safety to make a safer work environmentAbility to perform geotechnical hazard mapping and high wall mappingContinually updating the geological model and managing the quality of coalReporting on coal qualities, coal volumes and reconciliation of coal tonnageRequirements:

Degree Qualified in GeologyMinimum 7-10 years industry experienceProven track record within the coal industryTechnical competent with effective communication skills at senior managementComputer literate with experience in Vulcan software an advantage In return:
