Position can be either FIFO from Cairns, or from anywhere in Australia with subsidised flights. The roster is 16 days on, 12 days off.

Reporting to the Chief Metallurgist, some of your main responsibilities can include:

Identify, investigate and implement improvement opportunities in conjunction with operations and maintenance sections

Evaluate, develop and progress various metallurgical projects

Management and safety of Processing Plant

Ensure control and optimisation of the Processing Plant compromising of Crushing, Grinding, Floatation, Acid Pressure Oxidation, 3 Oxygen Plants, Lime Kilns, Tailings Detoxification and a leach / CIP circuit

Participate in ongoing training and development within the team

The successful applicant will be tertiary qualified in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or equivalent and have a minimum of 8 years experience in all aspects of gold extraction. You will also have knowledge of metallurgical databases and accounting systems.

Salaries will be commensurate with experience and be in the range of $115,000 - $155,000 + benefits. Salaries outside this range will be considered for exceptional candidates.
