Senior Exploration Geologist

Our client, a junior miner company, requires the services of a Senior Exploration Geologist at their base metal project in the Northern Territory.

The ideal candidate profile will include but not limited to:

* Tertiary qualifications in a relevant geology discipline
* A minimum of 8 years as an exploration geologist in hard rock, base metals
* Experience in supervisory roles
* Experience in complex polymetallic base metals would be and advantage
* High level computer skills (database and Micromine) required
* The potential to move into an Exploration Manager position in 3 to 5 years

As the Senior Exploration Geologist you will be part of a small team working on the rehabilitation of this complex mine and processing plant and bringing it into production in 2010.

Your key responsibilities in the role will include:

* Restart exploration program for base metals in extensive leases around the mine site
* Initially focussing on orientation and database familiarisation
* Planning and running field programs

This is a permanent residential role based in Darwin or on site offering a challenging and rewarding future.
