Construction Manager, Roads & Civil Work

Our client is a large construction consortium involved in large infrastructure projects in the Middle East. They are currently seeking a Construction Manager – Roads and Civil Works to plan, direct and coordinate activities of designated projects and to ensure that project goals and objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters. You will assist with overseeing and providing direction on all construction. You will also assist with the developing and implementing of effective and efficient policies and procedures for project controls.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

* Plan, manage, supervise, coordinate and lead the work for civil municipality works
* Confer with project engineering staff and consultants on design and specifications
* Participate in budget and contract preparation, execution, change orders and closeout
* Monitor projects to ensure that works are according to regulations and specifications
* Supervise and coordinate staff reporting through to you, including training, motivation and evaluation
* Implement construction polices, procedures, and construction inspection methods to obtain project goals and objectives.
* Compile and submit progress reports in support of construction activities

To be considered for this role, you have must have demonstrable experience in a similar role and relevant tertiary qualifications (preferably civil or structural engineering). You will be a strong team player, possessing outstanding project management, analytical and problem solving skills coupled with well developed communication and interpersonal skills
