Mining Operator Training Coordinator

Our client currently seeks the services of an experienced Mining Operator Training Coordinator for their open pit mining operation in West Africa.
Reporting to the Superintendent Mine Production your primary objective is to lead a team of heavy equipment operator trainers and safety trainers and to be accountable for developing and maintaining operator training and coordinating operator and mine safety training activities.

To be successful you must have:

* A minimum qualification of Grade IV in Workplace Training & Assessment; a Diploma in Assessment & Training Systems is preferred
* At least 10 years experience in mine operations including operating and mine supervision in open cut truck / excavator environments
* A qualified trainer on a wide range of open cut mining equipment with at least 3 years in a mine training supervisory role
* Prior overseas experience and knowledge of French language would be advantageous
* Experience in safety management and awareness is essential
* Able to manage multiple tasks to completing deadlines
* High level of computer literacy including MS Office Suite, databases, MIMS and Chemalert is essential
* Well developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills in English
* The ability and drive to lead a multi national team in a technically challenging and geographically remote environment

This role is being offered on a FIFO roster. A competitive salary package will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
