Principal Mining Engineer - Open Pit

Our Client is seeking the services of a degree qualified Principal Mining Engineer with underground and open pit mine design capabilities.

Reporting to the Group Mining Engineer you will be responsible for,

* planning of open pit and underground projects
* development projects
* providing technical support to the operating mines
* providing technical support to the technical services group
* capital projects review and analysis
* project improvement studies and LOM planning.

As the successful applicant you will have the following broad experience, skills and abilities,

* a minimum of 10 years experience in the mining industry with at least 7 years in mine planning positions
* extensive experience in open pit mine planning
* good communication and presentation skills both oral and written
* self motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
* relevant computer skills in word processing, spread sheeting and mine planning.

Membership of the AusIMM will be well regarded.
