Our Client is seeking the services of a degree qualified Mining Engineer with expertise in open pit mine design and operation.

You will be responsible for:

* planning of open pit projects
* development projects
* providing technical support to the operating mines
* providing technical support to the technical services group
* capital projects review and analysis
* project improvement studies and LOM planning.
* As the successful applicant you will have the following broad experience, skills and abilities,
* extensive experience in open pit mine planning and operation
* good communication and presentation skills both oral and written
* self motivated and able to provide training and support to national staff
* relevant computer skills in word processing, spread sheeting and mine planning
