Maintenance Manager

Our client is a well established and highly successful mining organisation operating a large scale open cut mining operation in South Kalimantan, Indonesia. This operation produces in excess of 35 million tonnes per annum of steaming coal for domestic and international markets. They have a requirement for an experienced Maintenance Manager to provide significant contributions to the operational performance of the material handling systems associated with the operation.

Reporting to the Coal Handling and Processing Division Head you will be accountable for the planning and implementation of a maintenance program to achieve required availabilities of the 55mtpa materials handling system and associated assets. Specific responsibilities include:

* Ensuring maintenance activities comply with environmental and OH&S requirements
* Managing a maintenance crew (employees and contractors) according to a collective labour agreement
* Preparing maintenance plans and schedules
* Preparing annual maintenance operational and capital budgets
* Identifying continuous improvement opportunities in both maintenance and operations

To be considered you must be able to demonstrate significant hands on experience in material handling systems and Maintenance Management Systems. Remote site experience will be highly regarded. Personal qualities will include highly effective interpersonal and problem solving skills, energy and tenacity, and a strong commitment to task achievement.

This position will operate off a single status 10 weeks on x 2 weeks off fly-in / fly-out roster, with accommodation and messing provided at site. An attractive remuneration package is on offer, along with vehicle, insurance and medical coverage.
