Our client, an international coal company, has a vacancy for a Senior Geologist. The role will be based in Jakarta, with some flexibility to travel within Indonesia and overseas to other Company’s mine sites. The successful applicant will be responsible for planning and carrying out detailed exploration of the thermal coal concessions for various mine sites and prepare site reports and recommendations for mine owners.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
Plan detailed exploration of the thermal coal concessions
Identify outcrops
Calculate reserve estimation from borehole data
Plan borehole drilling patterns
Co-ordinate with mine owners regarding future mining plans and pit limit markings
Qualifications & Experience:
Tertiary qualifications in Geology
Minimum of six years experience in coal
GPS experience
AutoCad for mapping and reserve estimation experience
At least basic Bahasa Indonesia speaking skills
