Designer - Converter/Inverter/Control System 40-50 $/hr

Location: Houston, TX, USA
World class provider of power distribution and control systems has immediate need for two Designers for contract project lasting 4 - 6 months. Individual can work from home and may need to travel to Houston or Milwaukee for testing of concepts. Work will be in Converter and Inverter Control System Design.

Responsibilities:

-> Digital design of converter and inverter control system
-> 1000 volt 1000A Power Semiconductor Module Design
-> Texas Instrument Digital Signal Processor Design
-> Converter and Inverter Control System Design

Requirements:

-> Must have experience with Semikron Power Module: Mechanical packaging and or their electronic interface
-> Must have experience with Ti Picolo and Delfino DSP Controllers in motor control or solar inverter or wind converter applications
-> Must have experience with Low Voltage and Medium Voltage motor drives and their applications
-> Must have experience with MS Embedded XP for use in Motion Control Systems
-> Must have experience with very high voltage very high amperage power semiconductor module design

Questions you will be asked:

• Describe your educational background and any certifications you may hold.

• Describe your power semiconductor module design experience, voltage and amperage of units designed.

• Describe your experience with DSP controllers in motor control or inverter applications.

• Describe your experience with motion control systems.

• Are you willing to accept a 4 - 6 month contract position?
