About the company: Our client is a worldwide market leader in the ground engineering sector. They specialize in groundstabilisation and treatment of soil and rock, which includes, jet grouting, grouting, micro piles, anchoring, dynamic compaction/replacement. They are able to call upon a wealth of knowledge and expertise from around the globe and are always leading by example, providing new and intuitive solutions to challenging projects.

About the Role: Our client is seeking a General Foreman to manage ground stabilisation projects to the value of $20 million all over Australia, with particular emphasis on NSW, QLD & NT. Reporting to a Project Manager you will oversee the daily site operations and have the ability to ensure that all work is completed accurately and on time. At present, the project portfolio covers heavy civils and residential works. Looking after 5 to 6 operational rigs, you will be required to take control of the project, make decisions and be able to solve problematic sites quickly.

About the Requirements: Our client is seeking an established General Foreman or someone who is ready to step up to this level. A strong background in civils infrastructure projects with particular emphasis on big challenging projects is ideal. The role would also suit someone who has come from a mining or tunneling background and is used to working on projects with values of $20m+. As this is a hands on role you are required to be able to think on your feet and be very adaptable as no two projects are the same. This role will suit a hands on individual who is capable of driving a site forward and ensuring that he can get the best from his workforce. There will also be an element of travel in this role so you must be able to move from project to project as required.
