The Company:

Hill McGlynn is working in conjunction with an international consultancy that offers a range of services to key infrastructure and mining clients providing them with a comprehensive range of integrated planning, management, engineering and environmental services in the built and natural environments throughout the world.

Within the Brisbane office the Railways Division is focusing on expansion plans for 2009 and are seeking experienced Permanent Way Design Engineers to join immediately to work on a pipeline of projects that will see them through to 2010. Their Rail team have many years of success due to their ability to address all issues of design, installation and maintenance, and experience within an operational railway environment.

About the Role:

An experienced Permanent Way Design Engineer is required for an immediate start with in the Brisbane office

This is a new role that has been release due to workload, and a number of projects pipelined for 2009 into 2010

A The successful candidate will undertake the role of lead Permanent Way engineer on a variety of railway projects

Candidate Requirements:

The successful candidate must demonstrate the following skills and experiences:

Relevant Degree in BSc/B Eng/ MEng with Honours in an engineering subject or similarChartered Engineer and/or Member of relevant Professional InstitutionSignificant experience of infrastructure projects in railway sectorExperience working in a team, autonomously and interfacing with clientsAble to Interface up to Senior Management level and Board levelDesign and verification checking on key rail projects using MX, Microstation or 12D softwareThis company is focused on the future of their staff and making sure they manage their workload effectively during this economic period.
