Contracts Manager - Subcontracts/Refinery/Construction

Location: Monrovia, CA, USA
Opening for a Subcontracts Manager with experience managing major construction programs in the hydrocarbon field preferably in a refinery environment for one year in the Los Angeles, CA area and then transferring overseas to Saudi Arabia for two years. Relocation to Saudi will include salary uplift, company provided housing, home leave, and paid travel days. Salary listed is an approximation so all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply. Candidates local to Los Angeles preferred although relocation will be considered.

Responsibilities:

-> Leads a team of subcontract administrators working on major construction subcontracts
-> Planning, scheduling, evaluation plans, leads tender evaluation efforts and administration
-> Subcontracts to be issued exceed $50,000,000 and construction work will be in Yanbu, KSA
-> Subcontracts will be both greenfield and revamp
-> Position begins in Monrovia, CA and candidate relocates to Yanbu, KSA to oversee administration
-> Reports to Project Contracts and Procurement Manager
-> Experience in claims management

Requirements:

-> No less than 10+ years experience managing major construction programs in the hydrocarbon field preferably in a refinery environment
-> Demonstrated experience in the planning and administration of construction subcontracts
-> Experience in claims management
-> Supervisory experience in a multicultural environment
-> Must be able to demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States as of the date of application

Questions you will be asked:

• How many total years experience do you have working in Construction Management? How many years in the hydrocarbon field and specifically in a refinery environment?

• What will demonstrate your experience in the planning and administration of construction subcontracts for refinery projects? Detail any experience you have in claims management.

• As this position will end up working overseas what supervisory experience do you have and has this been in a multicultural environment?

• Where do you currently live? Are you willing to work in the Los Angeles, CA area for one year and then relocate to Yanbu, KSA for two years?

• What is your current or most recent salary (please break down base, bonus, etc.). What is your desired salary for this position?
