Barrick (Granny Smith) Pty Ltd is located 950kms north east of Perth and 23kms south of Laverton and has been one of Australia’s leading gold producers for the last 15 years. With continued growth in our underground mining operations and an exciting exploration portfolio, the projected mine life is 5 years based on the current reserves.

The principal duties include:
• Mapping and sampling of underground faces, walls and stopes.
• Liaising with underground production operators to maintain production requirements.
• Orientating and sampling of surface and underground drill core.
• Working with the Laboratory, Surface and Underground geology teams.
• Promoting of company environmental, health, safety and operational policies and procedures.

The successful applicant will have the following essential and desirable qualifications/skills:
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel and Word.
• Exposure to underground geology.
• Ability to work effectively within a small professional team.
• High level of personal motivation and commitment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

This position is fly in/fly out from Perth on an 8 days on 6 days off, 7 nights on, 7 days off roster. Excellent on-site accommodation is provided.
