Principle Mine Engineer (Coal) South Africa
This role designs, develops and implements production department and systems for an opencast truck and shovel mine, located in Limpopo West. Duties include investigation and evaluation of all earth moving equipment, as well as development of SOPs and COPs.
Requirements:
A National Higher Diploma/degree (Mining Engineering) A Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency Thorough knowledge of and experience in coal mining methods, production processes, mine infrastructure and mine planning Sound expertise in safety, health, legal and risk management Knowledge of adverse Geological Mining conditions Expertise in open pit mining, including truck and shovel opencast mining methods and quality control processes in a complex coal fiel A valid driver’s licence The confidence to work independently Skills to plan, co-ordinate and control all mining activities Conceptual thinking The ability to effectively work and lead in a team environment.
