Technician - Extrusion/Process/Quality 15-17 $/hr

Location: Greensboro, NC, USA
Client located in the Greensboro, NC area is actively looking for an Extrusion Technician for a temp to perm contract assignment. Position has potential for overtime as well. No per diem!

Responsibilities:

-> Assist process engineers with monofilament, multifilament production and troubleshooting
-> Provide technical assistance to team leaders and operators during start ups, changeovers, and power failures
-> Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment in Extrusion Department and Repair extruders
-> Work with process engineers, team leaders, and operators to improve operation efficiency, quality, and scrap reduction
-> Monitor production, winding, and creeling to ensure quality
-> Supervise and coordinate daily production on monofilament and multifilament extruders in the absence of the process engineers
-> Perform other related duties as assigned by the process engineers

Requirements:

-> High school diploma required, Associates degree preferred
-> Three years of mechanical or electrical experience
-> Able to control, maintain, manage extrusion lines and repair yarn breaks
-> Train existing and new employees on operation of extruders
-> Be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
-> Proficient in using metric tools
-> Must be able to lift and/or move up to 55 pounds
