Digital Engineer - Digital Design/FPGA/Altera 65-90 K/yr

Client has an IMMEDIATE NEED for mid and senior level Digital Design Engineers with experience in digital or analog circuit card design with FPGA software. This is a direct hire position in the Fort Walton Beach, FL area. Local candidate preferred but others considered. Pay listed is an estimate, experience will determine actual pay.

Responsibilities:

-> Performs design engineering to include circuit card and box level design and development, FPGA design and firmware development, parts selection, fabrication assistance
-> Travel as necessary for product support and customer subcontractor assistance
-> Perform component/product and military specification research
-> Provide prompt, accurate, technical input for program management support, production support, customer assistance, marketing support
-> Provide interface with software engineering, project engineering, and mechanical engineering and drafting

Requirements:

-> BS in Electrical Engineering
-> Experience with electronic design from circuit card design through system level design
-> Experience with FPGA design software such as Altera Quartus or Xilinx Foundation for digital and/or analog circuit card design
-> Matlab and analog simulation tools
-> Knowledge of computer programming languages such as VHDL, Verilog, C++, and schematic capture tools are a plus, not required
