Specialising in outsourced maintenance contracts, this services group provide a complete portfolio of management and maintenance solutions for clients with high voltage and heavy industrial assets. Spanning across a diverse range of industries from mining to power generation and energy systems, their capability ranges from design and engineering through to project management and commissioning.

In order to develop their Queensland power business and firmly establish their foothold as a leading asset management provider, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Regional Operations Manager.

Reporting to the Manager of Major Projects, the main responsibilities of this role will include:

• Effectively grow, support and coordinate the activities of the power outage and project groups by providing asset management strategies and engineering solutions
• Developing new business and strengthening existing client relationships through continually meeting or exceeding targets
• Liaising with Project Management teams to oversee contractors, including the provision of materials and equipment for local and remote asset management projects
• Liaising with OHS to develop and implement a safety strategy in line with ISO standards

This role will be ideal for an experienced asset or operations manager who thrives in an autonomous but performance driven environment. You will have the opportunity to take responsibility for all facets of operations, ranging from man management through to contract administration and project management.

Your experience will have been gained in the capacity of team or operations leader, preferably from a mechanical background in power, mining or heavy industry. You will have demonstrated skills in strategic growth plans. OHS procedures, business development and customer service as well as excellent written and verbal communications skills.
