20 CATIA V5 Marine Electronic Designers needed NOW!!! Leading defense contractor has an IMMEDIATE NEED for twenty (20) designers for a Naval project in New England. This is a six to twelve month contract position.

Responsibilities:

-> Electronic drafting of ship electrical & cableway installation drawings in CATIA V/5
-> Incorporation of change in 3-D CATIA V/5 models
-> Preparation of functional diagram and model information to support cable routing in CATIA V/5

Requirements:

-> A minimum of 5 years experience as a marine electrical designer
-> Proficiency with CATIA V4/5 required
-> Ability to read and understand marine electrical functional and installation drawings is required
-> General working knowledge of ship construction methods and techniques preferred
-> Excellent computer skills (e.g., experience with Microsoft Office tools) required
-> Ability to read, interpret, and follow procedures, standards, and work instructions
-> Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
-> Selected candidates are required to join the local marine drafting union while engaged

• Please describe your general background in Marine Electronic Drafting. Does your background include naval or other military work? What types of naval or military projects have you worked on?

• What is the nature of your experience with CATIA V5 and how was it obtained? How long ago were you last using CATIA V5?

• Please describe your experience in the electronic drafting of ship electrical and cableway installation drawings in CATIA V5. Have you done this in a team environment?

• Are you willing to work on a contract project for a six month or longer period?

• Do you have any professional certifications or education relevant to this position?
