Inspector - Electric Utilities/Project/Inspection 52.5-65 K/yr

A leading utilities company is seeking an experienced Construction Inspector to be a part of their team in Central, NC.

Responsibilities:

-> Manage medium to large distribution construction projects from pre-construction to final inspection
-> Direct and supervise construction project crews
-> Communicate skillfully with government officials
-> Organize work to meet deadlines
-> Attend project update meetings

Requirements:

-> Five to eight years experience with rural electric cooperative or utility in an engineering, operations or construction position
-> Must have ability to work independently and supervise construction crews
-> Knowledge of RUS List of Materials and RUS construction specifications
-> Knowledge of an automated mapping system, such as UA field and G.P.S
-> Must be familiar with National Electric Safety Code
-> Must be thoroughly familiar with system geography
-> Must be skilled in drawing and sketching
-> High School diploma or equivalent required
-> A valid NC driver's license is required
-> Work outside of normal work hours as required
-> Completion of courses in drafting and basic electricity equivalent to an associate degree in an engineering discipline preferred
