Hill McGlynn, a Randstad company, is currently recruiting for the position of SENIOR PRINCIPAL CIVIL ENGINEER for a leading engineering consultancy in the North Queensland region. Currently this leading organisation is still blooming in the region and as such require someone of experience for this highly pivotal role. The company in question has an extremely large and unrivalled presence in the region, and in these times of uncertainty are one of only a few organizations looking to consolidate and indeed strengthen their position in this region.

The Position

Currently this internationally acclaimed organisation is seeking a Senior to Principal level Civil Engineer to join their water resources team in Townsville. As a SENIOR PRINCIPAL CIVIL ENGINEER, you will be responsible for a range of water resources projects on mine sites and industrial sites while also being responsible for the management of the projects, budgets, timelines and clients. To be considered for this highly regarded role you will require:

Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering6 + Years experience in this fieldExceptional Project Management and technical skillsSubstantial experience in water resources design for local authority, private and mining sectorStrong client management skills are essential Experience in the following areas will also be beneficial to the role and the degree to which you succeed in this role:

Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling; Dams; Flood mitigation works; Open channels, culverts and bridges; Mine water management systems; Tailings dams; Water balance modeling; Flood leeves and creek dimension designs and Dam inspection sand risk assessments
