Leading logistics automation client has an immediate need for an MEP Design Coordinator in the Chicago area. Excellent opportunity for an individual well-suited to handling multiple projects simultaneously, interfacing with clients, and who has a desire to advance within the company. Local candidates strongly preferred but relocation assistance will be considered for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

-> You will prepare 3D system layouts primarily for computerized pneumatic tube systems typically in medical or healthcare facilities
-> Using 3D-Cad tools (AutoCad MEP and/or Navis Works), develop models from basic sketches, 2D models and possibly other 3D models
-> Closely coordinate with other MEP trade contractors with goal of developing a fully installable model of pneumatic tube system
-> Resolve conflicts with other MEP utilities via the use of Navis Works or other software while adhering to or improving the fundamental system design
-> Attend and actively participate in coordination meetings with other MEP trades

Requirements:

-> 4 to 10 years experience in drafting or designing of mechanical, electrical or plumbing/piping systems
-> In-depth, demonstrated experience with AutoCad MEP and Navis Works
-> Basic knowledge of construction principles
-> Ability to complete tasks on time and within budget
-> Ability to effectively team with various critical internal and external/client teams
-> Associates Degree in technical drawing or drafting (Plus)
-> Experience with piping detailing (Plus)
