Heavy Civil, Water, and Wastewater Treatment Plant Estimators: Company is looking to add highly motivated Heavy Civil and Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant Estimators to our regional estimating group based in 3 offices located in GA,, NC and FL.

Responsibilities:

-> Review proposal specifications, project plans, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate. Provide complete detailed estimate on complex projects. Prepare the required documentation using a variety of bid forms
-> Prepare bids for any of the following types of estimates: hard bid, negotiated, unit price, lump sum, design-build, design-bid-build, bid-build, for a variety of owners, and others. Prepare detailed estimates by calculating complete take-off of assigned scope of work
-> Coordinate total estimating effort relevant to particular bid/project as assigned. Insure all working documents and data are maintained to back-up estimate figures
-> Prepare schedule for project construction to facilitate entire estimate preparation. Prepare equipment schedule, review equipment needs with Program Manager, and adjust estimate as needed for equipment needs and costs
-> Solicit subcontractor bids and vendor quotes. Analyze scope of subcontractor bids and vendor quotes to ensure completeness. Interface with Chief Estimator, Business Group Leaders, Program Managers, Project Managers, vendors and subcontractors to provide constructability and cost data

Requirements:

-> Degree from a four (4) year college, trade school or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience
-> 5+ years experience in similar construction. 3+ years of estimating and/or related functions
-> Design/Build project management or engineering experience helpful
-> Applicants must be authorized to work in the US
-> Windows based computer competency with strong proficiency in Excel. Experience with a computer based estimating software. Working knowledge of Heavy Bid by HCSS is a plus, but not required
