Senior Electrical Engineer - Substation

Our client delivers integrated specialist expertise in the power, industry, mining and resource sectors.

Currently we are seeking applications from Senior Electrical Engineers with experience in all aspects of substation design (primary side) for indoor and or outdoor substations above 66kV and up to 500kV.

To be considered for this role you will hold an Electrical Engineering Degree (recognised in Australia) and have 5-10 years postgraduate experience in power transmission design. You will be familiar with modern design practice, and typical equipment / systems used in Transmission Substations.

Your skills should include:

Substation design, including; equipment layouts, arrangements & technical specifications Transmission System Planning and analysis, including load flow and Fault studies Earthing Design and Lightning Protection Transmission project cost estimation & fee Proposal Salary 100K - 120K Very close to CBD public transport
You will be able to work as a senior member of the team & mentor junior colleagues.

Strong co-ordination and facilitation skills as well as the ability to handle multiple projects and work to dead lines is essential. You will have excellent verbal and written communication and have a strong business acumen with commercial and customer focus.
