Mining Engineer - Principal OC Coal

Directly reports to Group GM, who reports to the CEO. At this level they will involve you in business networking, even though the focus is naturally technical.

Further info:

Commodity specific structure - operate in a team of 9 coal specialists

Stick with a client throughout the whole project, this gives you a deeper understanding of the real issues and helps encourage repeat business

Reputation for quality which provided more business for expansion within the global Coal Division

Increased market share opposite to the trends

Team-focussed projects creating open knowledge sharing and continuous personal development

Assist in the development of junior Mining Engineers and grow with high level technical management

Opportunity to diversify into UG coal and get involved with new projects in QLD and NSW

No mergers on the cards here, just structured, organic growth. Besides expanding local teams, think South America and Asia in keeping up with demand.

Current work includes:

Technical audits, feasibility studies,

Due diligence, full site optimisation studies

Africa, Brazil, Asia, South Africa and Australia

10yr + mine planning experience with strong technical capabilities in open pit coal. Ability to encourage excellence through teamwork and work in a structured yet flexible environment.
