Site Project Engineer

Site Project Engineer required for rotational role in North Africa starting Q1 2010. Specific duties will include: Review and approve design drawings and other technical documents to ensure compliance with applicable project & contract requirements and especially operational demands; Liaise with contractor, engineering and field staff as and when required to ensure efficient resolution of any issues identified during the design and construction work; Prepare timely response to technical queries from the contractor; Ensure that the equipment installed comply with the contract requirements and with good industry practice for future operation and maintenance; Monitor construction, outfitting and commissioning activities at fabrication workshop, on site and commissioning, incl. site management & supervision; Report progress and problem areas related to the execution of the work; Reviewing and assessing variation requests from the contractor and evaluation and recommending eligibility of claims; Ideally you will have a Mechanical Engineering Degree and extensive exposure to the above tasks. You will have knowledge of oil & gas operations incl. water/gas injection, crude oil & gas processing/gas compression. Artificial lift (gaslift, ESP) experience would be beneficial. You must be fluent in written and spoken English (German or Arabic is a bonus) Please submit your CV quoting reference J5932 clearly stating your availability, day rate expectations and desired working locations.
