Environmental Manager Lucky Friday Mine, Mullan, Idaho, USA
Hecla Limited is seeking an experienced Environmental Manager for its Lucky Friday Mine. This is a full-time, salaried position located in Mullan, Idaho.
Successful candidate will manage environmental projects, environmental professionals, and all site environmental activities. Candidate will oversee permitting requirements, including NPDES for tailings ponds, SWPPP, CAA and maintain compliance with all environmental regulations including but not limited to the SDWA (Safe Drinking Water Act), CWA (Clean Water Act), RCRA (Resource Conservation and Recovery Act), TSCA (Toxic Substance Control Act), and EPCRA (Emergency Planning and Community Right to Know). Provide oversight and advice on procedures, processes, and protocol for compliance.
Environmental Manager, in conjunction with the Corporate Environmental Manager, will coordinate communications on mine environmental performance to external agencies including state, local, and federal.
] This position reports to the General Manager.
] Bachelorfs degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field. 8+ years of experience required.
] Experience in a mine site supervisory role preferred.
] Advanced knowledge of Idaho, federal, and industry environmental regulations.
