A nationally based civil contractor with operations throughout Australia, Tasmania and New Zealand are in the process of expanding their business in their civil and water divisions. Due to their growing success the need has arisen for a project manager to oversee, lead and build projects in their civil operations. The other industries in which they have major operations in are rail, power, heavy industrial and of course water.

Reporting to the General Manager you will be responsible for overseeing road projects in the value range of $10m- $20m. Projects will range from new road construction to rehabilitation.

The ideal candidate, from a construction background with a civil engineering qualification, must have a minimum of 8 years experience working for a local civil contractor. Predominately your experience will come from an Australian background so you are familiar with all standards and of course knowing who all the external clients are, therefore allowing yourself a better position to win work. Please do not apply unless you have worked for an Australian contractor. You will a strong background on delivering civil road projects on time and within budget and overseeing a team of engineers.

Our client is a massive organisation that tends not to concentrate on the major projects but more so on projects up to $50m. They have an extensive project portfolio which spans across Australia and more so has continuous work as they do not focus on major projects.
