POSITION DESCRIPTION: The position requires hands-on, decision making experience in any or all branches of seismic data acquisition - marine, transition zone, or land - with a proven history of introducing new methods and technologies for the solution of seismic imaging problems. The position will be as a member of our acquisition technical support team, working closely with field operations, processing, and interpretation and modeling staff to overcome geophysical and logistical challenges through the design, testing, optimization, and implementation of acquisition field parameters and survey design. The position also entails preparation and evaluation of technical acquisition tenders, and training of new personnel and junior staff.
SELECTION CRITERIA: A minimum of 8 years of experience in seismic data acquisition design, and a degree in Geophysics or Geophysical Engineering. We will also consider other majors, given the right experience.
