Candidate will work as part of a multidiscipline team to develop and explore for natural gas in the Mid-continent and Gulf Coast. Geophysicist needed with 10+ years of experience, previous shale/unconventional resources and horizontal drilling would be a plus.
The candidate will work as member of an integrated asset team to define project objectives, design and coordinate seismic processing data flows, interpretation of 2D and 3D data sets, and participate in well planning that meet those objectives.
Duties include data base creation and maintenance, geological and geophysical mapping, log analysis, and advanced 2-D & 3-D seismic interpretation. Candidate will also direct 3rd party Geophysical consultants in the purchase and/or the designing, oversight, and quality control during acquisition, processing and interpretation of all acquired seismic.
Position Type:Full Time
Travel Required:30% of the time (approximate)
Experience
Candidate should possess a BS in Geophysics and knowledge / proficiency in the following: SMT-Kingdom or similar seismic interpretation software, Petra, MS Office applications, and technical report writing. The candidate must be able to thrive in a closely integrated, multi-disciplined team environment.
