Location: Saudi Arabia POSITION DESCRIPTION The incumbent will perform or monitor the advanced level complex inspection activities and/or provides technical guidance in audits for compliance to requirements, in one or more of the following disciplines: Vendor Quality Control, Vendor Quality Assessor, or Vendor Quality Monitor. In addition, the incumbent may receive specialized training in advanced inspection techniques and /or processes in other fields in order to meet critical needs of the Department. Typical work responsibility involves either performing or overseeing the performance of on-site inspections, monitoring vendors' inspection, factory performance tests recording, and/or reviewing the results of tests, auditing activities and quality systems at manufacturers' plants and ensuring compliance to requirements. In addition the incumbent will train lesser qualified inspection personnel and may be required to present training session to groups of personnel in the organization.
SELECTION CRITERIA
The selected candidate will have the necessary qualifications, certifications and work experience for one of these specific inspections disciplines: Pressure Vessel Inspector: Must have a thorough working knowledge of ASME and API specifications associated with pressure vessels; ASME Section VIII, Division I & II, Section II A, B & C, Section V, and Section IX. Shall hold API-510 pressure vessel certification, ASNT level II in UT, RT, MT and PT, AWS or CSWIP welding inspection, NACE coating inspection and must be experienced with all aspects of a metrology laboratory including DWTT, HIC and SSCC testing.
Piping Inspector Requirements: Must have a thorough working knowledge of API and ISO specifications and recommended practices associated with piping and casing, API-5L, API-5CT, RP 5L3, ISO3183-2 and 3, NACE TM-0284 and TM-0177. Solid working experience related to: steel mill wrought materials, including pipe manufacturing processes; seamless, SAW straight seam, helical, HFI (ERW). Qualifications include NDT; UT, EMI, RT, MT, and PT, weld inspection; CSWIP, AWS, coating inspection; NACE. Must be experienced with all aspects of a metrology laboratory including DWTT, HIC and SSCC testing, also CEPC (continuous electronic process control) and SPC (statistical process control).
OCTG Inspector Requirements: Must have a thorough working knowledge of API specifications and recommended practices associated with piping, casing and threading requirements, API-5L, API-5CT, API-5B and RP 5A5, RP 5B1 and RP 5C1 as a minimum. Proficient with dial indicator and fixed type gauges, thread height, lead, taper, ring and plug gauges. Certified in the following NDT disciplines UT, EMI, RT, MT, and PT level II.
COMMENTS The Inspection Department is charged with the corporate responsibility for inspection of materials and equipment purchased, and equipment and facilities constructed for Saudi Aramco. The Vendor Division of the Inspection Department monitors and audits vendors' manufacturing operations and provides quality system implementation, orientation and guidance for the manufacture of materials and purchased equipment and facilities. Also, performs inspections of vendors' facilities for compliance to requirements.
