Taseko Mines Limited of Vancouver, B.C. is a mining exploration, development and production company focused on creating wealth through the growth and development of current assets, as well as the acquisition of other promising projects. Taseko's main assets are the Gibraltar copper-molybdenum mine, the Prosperity gold-copper project, the Harmony Gold and Aley Niobium prospects. The Gibraltar Mine, located near the City of Williams Lake in the beautiful Cariboo region of British Columbia, is the second largest open pit copper mine in Canada with daily mill throughput of 46,000 tons. Gibraltar is currently undergoing upgrades to the mill and concentrator which will increase mill throughput to 55,000 tons per day and results in a 27 year mine life based on current reserves. The Prosperity Project is a large undeveloped gold-copper resource located 125 km south west of Williams Lake. Prosperity is anticipated to have both Provincial and Federal Environmental Assessment Certificates early in 2010 and to begin construction with the expectation to start production in 2012

Reporting to the General Foreman, Mill Maintenance, the Mill Maintenance Foreman will be responsible for:
-The maintenance of milling and conveying equipment and supervising the maintenance crew in the Mill.
- Initiating work orders for work required and requisitioning material.
- Co-operating and communicating with Operations Department Supervisors in the maintenance of their equipment.
- Evaluating work requests and their priority and evaluating methods employed on repetitive jobs to save time and costs.
- Regularly inspecting equipment under jurisdiction and recommending maintenance as required.
- Analysing equipment failures in order to prevent their reoccurrence.
- Motivating crews in proper operating practices, good housekeeping, fostering a solid team atmosphere while maintaining a safe, disciplined work environment.
- Approving timecards, processing leave requests, scheduling vacations and conducting employee performance appraisals.
Qualifications
- Certified Journeyman Millwright with Inter-provincial trade qualifications.
- Minimum 4 years experience in maintenance of milling and conveying equipment.
- Demonstrated skills in areas of scheduling, leadership, training, judgement and communications, both oral and written.
- Computer skills to include proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
