IMMEDIATE NEED!!!! Client located in Newark, New Jersey is looking for a Contracts Manager/Procurement Analyst with 10-20 years of experience in the energy industry for a long term contract assignment. You need a BS degree and 5-10+ years of specific experience as a Contract Manager supporting large heavy industrial plant (refinery, process, power, chemical, etc...) construction projects. The ideal candidate has specific experience on large, coal fired power plant EPC projects. Our client is looking for candidates local to the Newark, NJ area.

Responsibilities:

-> Manage change order requests from the EPC Contractor and participate in meetings to determine validity of such requests
-> Attend project review meetings and negotiate settlements on change requests in accordance with the contract, which support company objectives
-> Develop project positions on disputed change requests that are placed into the dispute resolution process by coordinating with operations, engineering, & construction groups
-> Prepare correspondence for Project managers approval to EPC Contractor

Requirements:

-> 5-10+ years experience in Contract Management within the construction industry working on construction contracts
-> Experience with lump sum contracting and commercial terms and conditions associated with lump sum contracts
-> A BS degree in Engineering or Construction
-> Specific experience in the construction industry working on large industrial plant (power, refinery, process, chemical, etc...) construction projects
-> Solid experience with RFI and RFP processes
