THE ROLE
CCL has been requested by an international oil operating company in Kazakhstan to provide a Geologist Advisor on a 28/28 rotational basis for a minimum of one year. Terms and conditions to be discussed and agreed.
THE PERSON
Ideal candidates will have experience evaluating regional and acreage specific data within tight time frames. Ability to quickly identify key geological and subsurface issues. Experience of different basins, petroleum systems and phases of business in an operating company environment. Ideally will have gained subsurface experience. Project and time management experience, Ability to question accepted thinking to drive new insights into play identification.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Ideal candidates will be well educated, to appropriate Degree level. Knowledge of petroleum systems in salt basins. Skilled in the use of using Geoframe and other packages. Excellent communication skills within a multicultural environment. Ideal candidate will need to demonstrate a high level of motivation and keenness to succeed. Strong interpersonal, influencing, and presentational skills within a multicultural environment. Committed and responsible team worker. Must be a logical analytical thinker able to think through complex technical issues in a focused, clear and effective manner. Well-developed cultural sensitivity. Knowledge in carbonate and clastic plays and salt basins, would be an advantage. Fluent in English.
