This exciting junior explorer has recently raised significant funds and is now seeking an experienced GIS/DBA Geologist to work within their Perth office. The company has a strong financial position and some outstanding exploration targets, both within Western Australia and overseas. This Perth-based role will report to the Exploration Manager but will have regular contact with the senior management team. As an exciting junior explorer, you will be involved in a variety of duties across their GIS & Geology area, with specific duties covering:
Assist with the management of all exploration projects and JV's
GIS Tenement Administration
Topographical/Geological/geochemical/geophysical/environmental map maintenance and generation
Database maintenance
GIS data attributing, analysis and modelling
Sourcing of latest GIS data for project appraisal and business development
Monitor and manage Company Research Programs
Provide GIS and database support/mentoring to staff
The position demands strong GIS & database skills and extensive experience across both areas will be essential. You will also bring the following:
Previous experience within an exploration &/or mining environment
Exposure to Micromine
Relevant Tertiary Qualifications - GIS, Geoscience
Some additional qualifications relation to database management
Excellent communication and team-oriented skills
The position will attract a salary in the range of $100K - $115K + Super and will be based permanently in Perth.
