This mid tier gold mining company is in the final stages of bringing a new open pit mine into production. With construction nearing completion, first gold is planned in mid 2010. The site will offer a 9:5 roster (travelling on company time), along with brand new accommodation and unrivalled sporting facilities. An opportunity exists for you to join this new operation as a Mine Production Engineer. Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, this role will see you responsible for all aspects of mine production, including drill and blast, short term planning, and design of pit and associated infrastructure.
To be considered for this unique opportunity you will require a minimum of 2 years experience in open pit mine production with considerable exposure to drill and blast and short term planning. Experience with mining software such as Surpac or Vulcan is essential. Tertiary qualifications in mining engineering would be ideal, but surveyors with production experience are also encouraged to apply.
