Please read carefully the folloiwng detailed job description (coal seam gas exp. is mandatory to qualify for this position):
Purpose
• Geology support for the Australian BU on Coal Seam Gas projects. This is an experienced-hire role that would support a small team assessing CSG development projects, conducting reservoir studies, generating forecast and assessing reserves. The candidate will conduct fundamental analysis for CSG projects to include volumetrics, review exploration well results, following ongoing drilling results from the exploration and development program and participate in peer assists and peer reviews.
Qualifications/Competencies
• BS and MS in geology or related fields.
• Fundamental geoscience skill set including volumetrics, mapping (familiar with Petrosys or ZMap software), log analysis, and basic seismic interpretation.
• A working knowledge and work experience in Coal Seam Gas is required.
• Experience with reservoir studies including reserves evaluations is required.
• Operational support for exploration (including coring and core analysis) and development drilling programs.
Experience
• 5 to 10 years experience as an geologist in an operating company
• Experience in Coal Seam Gas development and evaluation is required.
