Apply now for immediate consideration! An international manufacturing company located in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Materials / Purchasing Manager for a direct hire position.

Responsibilities:

-> Candidate will direct and control materials/purchasing management for an international manufacturing company
-> Manages the procurement and movement of raw or finished materials, storage and inventory control activities
-> Controls, measures and regulates efficient inventory levels of materials and purchased items and determines final disposition
-> Oversees the activities of the purchasing department in procuring materials, equipment and services procurement

Requirements:

-> 15+ years managing the materials / purchasing function in an industrial job shop manufacturing environment with heavy interface with application engineering
-> Proven track record of designing and implementing effective inventory reduction programs and procedures in an engineering/mfg environment
-> Inventory management experience in a diverse Make/Engineer to Order environment, is a plus
-> Previous management and direct supervisory experience in purchasing machined parts, electrical components, raw stock steel, valves, motors, pumps, and other industrial durable goods preferred
